27th May 2006 Windsurfing: Shoreham Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Overcast Max Speed: Distance Covered: Saturday of BH weekend and a reasonable forecast so was expecting 5.8 possibly 5.2 weather...but ended up being on 4.5 then 4.0!!! Again!!! Actually it wasn't the greatest of sessions cos I was having trouble getting comfortable with my sail sizes - started off sailing overpowered on the 4.5 fully downhauled then changed down to 4.0 but was a fraction underpowered on that. However there was a 20 minute period whilst on the 4.0 when the wind picked up allowing big jumps and fully planing gybes...aaahhh perfect. A shame that it wasn't like this for the whole session but no complaints when there's this much wind. Day number 10 of wind in a row!!! Hoping for number 11 tomorrow if the sunshine works its magic on the forecasted W3-4. |
